Plastic lock to connect corrugated cardboard walls

Our brand new plastic lock 893.0 is currently out for sale. It is designed to close boxes which consist of two halves - top cover and bottom tray: top cover and bottom tray

Such boxes are frequently used by manufacturers of electronic equipment, such as: computer stations, TV sets etc. Such two element design of the packaging is desired, because it makes carrying of a valuable product safe. The unboxing procedure includes:

  • unlocking the locks
  • retracting the locks from holes
  • lifting the top cardboard cover

The lock holds the two parts of the packaging together so depending on the length of the box and weight of the contents - there might be need to use more than just 2 pairs. Sometimes (e.g. for big TV screens) there might even be 4 pieces on each longer side of the box.

Plastic lock 893.0 can be reused after opening

This is very important for products which need multi-stage processing. After each process step the product can once more be packaged into its box - the locks are engaged - and it can be transported to another area where, once again, the locks are removed.

The lock has special flaps that open inside the packaging when the lock is being closed.
